    Secretary of State announces opening of Cambodia UKTI office

    Secretary of State for Wales Cheryl Gillan announced today that UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) will reopen their office in Phnom Penh in the British Embassy.

    Mrs Gillan made the announcement in a speech to the British Business Association in Cambodia (BBAC) and the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce (CCC), as part of a five-day tour of South East Asia to promote trade, tourism and governmental links.

    She was joined by the British Ambassador, Mr Mark Gooding OBE, and His Excellency Pan Sorasak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce.

  • A First For Professional Women

    Over 70 professional women gathered at Chinese House on Tuesday for the first BBAC Working Women's Networking event.

    Although there is no shortage of networking opportunities in Phnom Penh, the women's only event was designed by the BBAC to give women a format uniquely for them.  With canapes, freeflow drinks, an exclusive fashion show from Jasmine Boutique and female-oriented raffle prizes, those who attended were not short of conversation.
